Here's the long and short of it: Matt and I are living in KC, MO now with our two wonderful children, Natalie and Colton. Natalie is almost 2 and Colton is 6 months old. Natalie is our little princess--she's a very affectionate, talkative, bright and funny girl. She loves reading books, playing outside, playing pretend, dressing up, cooking in her play kitchen, helping me with anything around the house, coloring, playing with stickers, anything involving water, and helping me with Colton. Colton is all boy! He loves to roughhouse and be thrown up in air, tickled mercilessly, and jump in his jumperoo endlessly. He had a wonderful sense of humor and smiles and laughs very easily. He and Natalie adore each other.
Matt is attending the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry and will graduate in May 2010 as a dentist. Hooray--only two more years until he's done with 8 long years of school! But wait, there's a catch. He's also in the Army. He was commissioned in as an officer in the dental corps of the Army. Once he graduates, he will serve as an active duty dentist in the Army for four years. We have no idea where the Army will send us for four years, but are excited for the adventure that awaits our family!
I graduated from William Penn in 2005 with a degree in Accounting, but little miss Natalie was on the way when I graduated, so I went from being a student to a stay at home mom with no pitstop in the workforce in between. :) After 22 months of staying home with Natalie, our son Colton was born. He was a big shocker--he was supposed to be a GIRL according to the two ultrasounds we had throughout my pregnancy. His name was Hailey Brooke Marre and his room was purple and flowery. He came home from the hospital in a hot pink carseat! We quikcly regrouped after his birth and he is truly the best surprise I've ever gotten!
We attend Blue Springs Christian Church here in Kansas City and feel very blessed by what God is doing in and through us in our lives. We strive to live out His will for our lives and to let our lights shine! God is good!
Thanks for stopping by :)

HI popped on over from A Place Called Simplicity. Isn't it awesome to come together and pray for each other?
I just prayed for your request.
My husband and I are also adopting. We are paperchasing right now.
